What is Google Places? Basically it is the map you see at the top of a Google search when you are looking for some thing that includes a geographical reference, like: “plumber launceston”. Near the top of the search results you will see a map that includes references to places that Google thinks are relevant to your search. 

Your business may already be here (Google gets the listings from Sensis & other directories), however you need to claim this listing and then optimise it to make the most of it.
